If you live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and haven't been to Bryant's Cocktail Lounge yet, you are surely missing something great. The bar is a throwback to the 1940s and is Milwaukee's oldest bar.
One of my favorite things about this bar is the fact that it's in an old house. From the outside you really wouldn't know that truly masterful cocktailing (is that a word?) is happening behind that door.
The interiors are original from the time it opened in 1938 on 9th and Lapham. It's a dark, cozy spot to slowly sip on classic cocktails (when I say classic, they only make cocktails from the depression-era. So please do not ask for a Vodka Red Bull.)
The cocktails are SO good that it was part of Esquire's Best Bar Cities in America in 2012 and a 2013 James Beard Semi-Finalist for Outstanding Bar Program. So if you find yourself in Milwaukee, skip the Miller Brewery tour and head to Bryant's!
